Our story.

1982

Peter Tan-Chi began an evangelistic home Bible study in Valley Golf and in Ike and Del Punsalang’s home in Antipolo. Three couples attended that first Bible study, and as they began to invite more friends, the Bible study grew.

1984

A core group of 40 people — businessmen, professionals, and their families — emerged from these Bible studies. This core group met at the Asian Institute of Management for their first Sunday worship service as Christ’s Commission Fellowship.

1987–1997

Growth kept moving the church to larger rooms: from the Asian Institute of Management to the Greenbelt Theater, then to the Philippine International Convention Center and its 4,500-seat Plenary Hall, and later to Valle Verde Country Club and St. Francis Square, where CCF eventually held six Sunday services in a single day.

2000–2005

Satellite congregations began to multiply across the Philippines — Pampanga, Cebu, Malaybalay, Pasig, Davao, Malolos, and by 2005 Marikina and Isabela.

2006–2012

CCF planted its first international satellite in Singapore, began live streaming its Sunday services, and in 2012 launched satellites in Auckland, Prince Albert and Los Angeles.

2013–2019

CCF moved its offices and Sunday worship services to the CCF Center in Ortigas East, Pasig City — the same year the church in Sydney was invited to become a CCF International Satellite.

2009–2012

Initially the church was a small independent Christian church that is focused on discipleship that meets every Sunday in Burwood, New South Wales. The leadership of the Church, headed by Johann Monzon, explored the possibility of being affiliated with CCF Philippines as most of the members came from there. This started the 2 year process in establishing the partnership.

The church service eventually moved to Meadowbank every Saturday evening. There were still only a few people meeting together but they strongly felt the Lord Jesus guiding and encouraging them to continue discipling one another and reaching out to others. He also sent His faithful servants from CCF Philippines who helped in the ministry and realigned the Church’s focus in fulfilling God’s mission of evangelism through His model of small group discipleship.

2013

The Lord opened the International ministry of CCF Philippines. The church was invited to become a CCF International Satellite wherein CCF Philippines would support and equip in growing His Church in Australia.

After attending the CCF Leadership Conference 2013, the leadership team of CCF Sydney was also prompted to trust God in bigger ways — to meet at a strategic venue every Sunday. This led the move to Park Royal Hotel in Parramatta.

2014

More and more people joined the CCF Sydney family as they experienced wonderful changes in their lives brought about by their renewed personal relationship with Christ and His Church. As the Lord allowed growth and spiritual multiplication to happen, the Church had to move again to a bigger venue - Novotel Hotel in Paramatta.

2016–2017

In Melbourne, our CCF discipleship ministry started to develop in 2016 as guided and supported by CCF Sydney leaders. By March 2017, CCF Melbourne was officially recognised as a CCF International Church Satellite. The first church service was held at Docklands, Victoria.

In Sydney, the Church was steadily growing and as it did - CCF Sydney found its new home in Castle Hill.

With the vision of seeing and developing a CCF movement across key cities of Australia through small group discipleship, we pursued online discipleship (aka Skypleship). CCF Sydney then applied for registration as CCF Australia.

2018

As of today, by God’s grace, CCF Australia is a growing spiritual movement with 350 members, with worship services in Sydney and Melbourne. There are about 46 DGroups across Sydney, Melbourne, Darwin, Brisbane, Canberra, Sunshine Coast and Perth.
